Cedar Springs Middle School students are in 7th & 8th grade. The middle school is part of the Cedar Springs Public Schools and is located 1 mile south of the main campus on the corner of 16 Mile Road and Northland Drive; 4873 16 Mile Road, Cedar Springs, MI  49319. The middle school students are assigned to one of four houses; red, yellow, green and blue.
 
Cedar Springs Middle School is a closed campus. For the purpose of safety, students are not allowed to leave the school grounds at any time during the school day without written permission from their parents and approval by the administration. Students may be released only to persons (who are authorized by parent/guardian) listed on the emergency data card. NOTE:  Students who arrive at school and then leave school property without permission from parents and school authorities will be considered unexcused and skipping.
 
We offer a comprehensive educational program that strives to meet the needs of all students. We uphold a core curriculum that meets or exceeds state and national standards and offers a full complement of extracurricular, athletics, and fine arts programs. The middle school strives for excellence through continual evaluation, feedback, and revision of programs and processes. One of our guiding principles is that we will develop all students to become educated, self-confident, responsible citizens in a changing world. We want all children to develop to their full and wonderful potential.

FAQ

Do I need to call the office if my child will be absent from school?
We would like you to call our office at (616) 696-9100 if your child will be absent from school for any reason. Always knowing that our students are with their parents ensures us that they are safe.

Can my child bring medication to school?
School policy prohibits any medication be dispersed at school without a medication form signed by both parent and physician. This includes over the counter medications.

What time is school dismissed on early release days?
Students are dismissed at 12:20 PM.

What time will the bus drop off my child on early release days?
The bus will drop off your student two hours earlier than normal on early release days.
